Garden of Ardauli

Garden of Ardauli

On June 5, 2021, the Garden of the Righteous in Ardauli was inaugurated. In 2018, the City Council had approved the opening of the Garden and the city's participation in the Day of the Righteous of Humanity. The project was born in collaboration with the local lower secondary school.

The first tree was dedicated to Father Salvatore Deiana, a missionary in Brazil and a close collaborator of Father Erwin Krautler, with whom he committed to defending the rights of the Indians.

In addition to institutional representatives, the community of Ardauli's citizens and the students of the lower secondary school, who read some thoughts in honor of the deceased priest, have attended the inauguration. The fourth and fifth classes of the elementary school also took part in the initiative, remembering the two magistrates Falcone and Borsellino, who dedicated their lives to the fight against the Mafia.

With this project, the Administration wanted to entrust an essential mission to the students of Ardauli: to assimilate the values of peace, justice, and equality, jealously storing them in their souls.
