Riccardo Noury's remark at European Day of the Righteous in Milan

Riccardo Noury, spokesperson of Amnesty International Italy, was among the protagonists of European Day of the Righteous' celebrations at the Garden of Milan. Following is his message in honour of women's resistance in the world:

"From Argentina of the Seventies to Bosnia and Rwanda of the Nineties, from the forgotten conflicts of Africa to the revolts in the Middle East of our century, women's activism is at the core of the struggles for human rights. It is not unfrequent, unfortunately, that the price for this is jail, torture, also death. But Halima and Sonita are with us and, although forced into exile, continue fight for a world in which human rights are respected. I am proud to take part in this important ceremony that represents an important recognition to their courage".
