The Day of the Righteous 2019 saw the birth of the Garden of Trani, at the Valdemaro Vecchi Scientific High School.

In the auditorium crowded with over 200 students and in the presence of the President of the VI regional commission, Dr. Domenico Santorsola and the city councillor Di Lernia, the activities began with the greetings of the school director, Angela Tannoia and listening to the video message of Gabriele Nissim, Gariwo President; followed the reports of the teacher Angela Doriana Di Liddo, referent of the project of “Active Citizenship” in collaboration with Gariwo "Adopt a Righteous", and the university professor, Patrizia Tartarino, on the care and defense of the ecosystem.

Then, in the Garden of the School took place the ceremony of planting the tree of the Righteous and the inauguration of the Garden of the Righteous. A holm oak tree was planted with the help of Arif Puglia, and it was dedicated to Giuste Sonita Alizadeh, Nazezda Mandel'stam, Neda Agha-Soltan, Primo Levi, Hamadi ben Abdesslem, Vito Fiorino and Costantino Baratta.
