On 5 March 2021, the Comprehensive Institute "Buttigliera Alta - Rosta" (TO), consisting of three primary schools and three secondary schools for a total of about 1200 students, inaugurated the Garden of the Righteous within its school complexes, a widespread garden that houses the first stones dedicated to the Righteous Irena Sendler and Giorgio Perlasca.
The diffused Garden is structured in three individual gardens: the Garden of the "Collodi" and "Levi Montalcini" Schools of Rosta, named after Giorgio Perlasca; the Garden of the "Collodi" and "Jaquerio" schools of Buttigliera Alta - Ferriera, named after Irena Sendler and the Garden of the "Brizio" and "Jaquerio" schools of Buttigliera Alta, named after Irena Sendler.
The institution of the Garden of the Righteous is part of the broader project "The sentinels of Memory" approved in 2019 by the Headmaster of the Comprehensive Institute Dr. Maria Gabriella Parente in collaboration with the Municipal Administrations of Rosta and Buttigliera Alta.
As advised by Gariwo, the “Committee for the establishment of the Garden of the Righteous - I.C. Buttigliera Alta-Rosta": the committee is made up of 14 members, the Headmaster Dr. Maria Gabriella Parente, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipalities of Rosta and Buttigliera Alta D.sse Anna Versino and Laura Saccenti, the professors Professors Barreca, Cogo , Farinella, Ferrero, Giaccone, Miglio, Pipitone, Scardaccione, Volontà and Zambelli, and Mrs. Bernardi Gra, promoter of the project “The Sentinels of Memory.
A graphic illustration depicting the garden was also created by the turin book-artist Nicolò Santoro, which was posted in all the complexes.
