Organization founded in 2001 by Svetlana Broz, Marshal Tito’s granddaughter, as a branch of Gariwo. It fosters reflection and practice of civil courage through an intense teaching activity: in cooperation with institutions and embassies from all over the world it holds corse and seminars which teach the young to oppose orders violating human dignity.
Every year it assigns the Dusko Kondor Award to people who have stood out for their civil courage. The association aims at creating the Sarajevo Garden of the Righteous.


Multimedia productions set up to present characters, stories, places, events which marked the history of Europe and its neighbouring regions.

Wefor is our Website dedicated to the figures of moral resistance against totalitarianism. The virtual Gardens of Europe’s Righteous and the teaching section YouFor are the core of this project realized by Gariwo, the forest of the Righteous. Through the establishment of the European Day of the Righteous by the Brussels Parliament, Wefor has received its highest recognition.
