The Museum of History of the Polish Jews will open in 2012 in the area of the former Warsaw Ghetto. It will deploy multimedia to show the thousand years of Jewish presence in Poland by favouring the visitors’ immersion into the related events. Moreover it already encourages scientific research based on documents, artefacts and audiovisual documents, while its educational section fosters exchanges between Polish and foreign (particularly Israeli) students, programs for schools, workshops and contests also in the territory. It runs the project “Polish righteous” which favours the citizens’ and young people’s meetings with the “Righteous among the Nations” and aims at mapping the experiences of Jews rescue in World War II.
