    In the Wall of Remembrance in Dzidzernagapert the Armenians keep the earth and ashes of the honored Righteous. This photogallery shows the original tombs and the symbolic taking of a fistful of ashes or earth, then moved to Yerevan to be kept in the Wall of Remembrance.

  • Dzidzernagapert ceremonies

    Series of pictures of the ceremonies held in Dzidzernagapert (the Hill of Swallows), the place hosting the Mausoleum set up in memory of the extermination victims. At the end of every ceremony the ashes or tomb earth of the Righteous honoured are interred into the Wall of Remembrance and a tree dedicated to each of them is planted in the Garden of the Righteous for the Armenians laying besides the Genocide Museum.

Wefor is our Website dedicated to the figures of moral resistance against totalitarianism. The virtual Gardens of Europe’s Righteous and the teaching section YouFor are the core of this project realized by Gariwo, the forest of the Righteous. Through the establishment of the European Day of the Righteous by the Brussels Parliament, Wefor has received its highest recognition.
