Mgr. Oddo Stocco was awarded the title of Righteous among the Nations by Jerusalem's Yad Vashem, the Israeli Holocaust Memorial.
From 1943 to 1945 Mgr. Oddo Stocco was the parish priest of San Zenone degli Ezzelini (near Treviso): with the help of 22 families of the village he hid nearly 50 Jewish people, saving them from deportation to the Nazi camps, and he also protected his parishioners from the fascist and Nazi repression.
Two citizens of San Zenone have been recognized as Righteous among the Nations on the same occasion.
