Daniela Pompei, Professor of Social Science at the Roma Tre University, is responsible of the Sant'Egidio Community's services for migrants (language school, hospitality centres, assistance to refugee and Rom). Together with Maria Quinto, Daniela Pompei is also the coordinator of the humanitarian corridors project of the Community and a promoter of the movement "Genti di Pace" - whose intent is to bring old and new European citizens closer, with the dream that no one is a foreigner anymore.
Daniela Pompei has also been a member of the Italian Board for Immigration at the Social Affair Department of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and an advisor of the Minister for Integration and International Cooperation Andrea Riccardi.
In her life, Daniela Pompei received several awards for her tireless commitment to the migrants cause.
