For nearly eighty years, the Middle East has been the scene of ongoing and bloody clashes, competing claims, and attempts to gain exclusive control over the region. It is an extremely sensitive situation, deeply marked by hatred of the other and a drive for domination.
Over time, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has generated—and continues to generate—countless crises and innocent victims. The most recent escalation began after 7 October 2023, affecting the entire Middle Eastern region, from southern Israel to Gaza, with devastating force.
And yet, in a context where hatred and domination often seem like the only possible paths, there are individuals who have chosen the way of dialogue and peace. These are men and women who have paid a high price for their choice—facing exclusion from their own communities, imprisonment, and in some cases, even death.
They are the Righteous of the Middle East—those who have courageously rejected war and instead committed themselves to dialogue and mutual understanding, striving for a future of peaceful coexistence and reciprocal recognition between Israelis and Palestinians.
