On November 11, 2025, in Via Dante in Milan, the exhibition The Righteous in Sport was inaugurated, a photographic exhibition path by the Gariwo Foundation with Gabriele Stabile on the occasion of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The exhibition tells the stories of fourteen athletes, men and women, who, in every part of the world and at different times, chose good, defending freedom, inclusion, and human dignity through sport.
At the inauguration, Elena Buscemi, President of the Milan City Council; Lamberto Bertolé, Councillor for Welfare and Health of the Municipality of Milan; Gabriele Nissim, President of the Gariwo Foundation; Gabriele Stabile, photographer of the exhibition; Marco Riva, President of CONI Lombardy; Pierangelo Santelli, President of CIP Lombardy; Alberto Bassani, F.C. Inter Community Relations Coordinator; and Rocco Giorgianni, Senior Manager Public Affairs & Sustainability at the AC Milan Foundation, took part.
A special thanks to all the people present and to the guests who shared with us words and reflections on the ethical value of sport as a tool of peace and freedom.
The exhibition is open until December 2, 2025.
