On March 24 2022, at the seat of the National Assembly in Paris, the Medal of the National Order of Merit was awarded to Lassana Bathily, for having saved the hostages during the attack of the Jewish supermarket "Hyper Cacher" in January 2015 in Paris.
Lassana Bathily, on the occasion of the Day of the Righteous 2017, has been honored with a plaque in the Garden of Milan at Monte Stella Hill. For his courage, he received numerous awards and he is still engaged to tell his story to young people.
Present at the ceremony, moderated by Marc Fermont: the deputy Marie Lebec; Manuela Rippo of the Gariwo Foundation; François Dagnaud, Mayor of the 19th arrondissement; Denis Mercier, of the League of Human Rights Association and Didier Eifermann, Head of the Foreign Affairs Department of the National Assembly.
