Hu Jia's association forced to close

by the pressure of the Beijing government

The group "Beijing Loving Source" dealing with AIDS and was founded by Chinese activist Hu Jia was compelled to close due to the growing tac pressure put on it by the Chinese government. So announces the activist's wife, Zeng Jinyan.

In the past - writes - the Guardian - Wan Yanhai, the founder of another important group supporting AIDS ill, was compelled to settle in the USA after dozens threatening phonecalls from the Police.

Quite often the authorities exert their own investigation power in a biased way, on purpose to crush the activities which are deemed to be subversive.

Zen Jinyan announces the closure of "Beijing Loving Source" on the association's Website and says she cannot forget the important lesson learnt in 2009 from the closure of the groupGongmeng which legally endorsed the most sensitive political cases. The Beijing tax bureau handed down a fine of 1,4 million yuan to Gongmeng for failing to pay taxes and has thus silenced the activist group.
Now - says the woman - l'the tax bureau is carrying out a fiscal inquiry.

The group's founder Hu Jia is serving 3 years and a half jail upon charge of subversion for his declarations. He was fiercely punished for informing openly about this disease.
