The women of the organization Women for Peace and Justice will hold a demonstration in Abuja for the 190 students who were kidnapped 2 weeks ago by Boko Haram, the Muslim sect claiming that "Western education is a sin". This Islamist group has been accused of killing 1,500 people this year only, but does not reply. Its activities include armed attacks to Christian worship centres and churches. Boko Haram's leader Abubakar Shekau had said in a video that he would enslave the girl who did not obey his own version of the sharia.

WPJ
wishes to gather one million women. Enoch Mark, whose daughter is still held captive, demands the investment of greater resources into achieving the release of the girls, aged between 16 and 18.  Many of them have been compelled to marry their torturers, 43 have regained freedom, but 23 of them are still held captive. Another mother, Naomi Mutah, told the BBC she felt abandoned by the state. "Nobody came to talk to us", she said.
