The Association for the Milan Garden of the Righteous chose to dedicate one of the new trees to be planted at Monte Stella in 2010 to Neda Soltan, the student become a symbol of the fight for freedom in Iran.
Neda was a Philosophy student wearing jeans and a t-shirt when she was killed by a sniper on June 27th, 2009, at age 26, while demonstrating her dissent against Ahmadinejad. The pictures of the murder are well-known all over the world, the anonymous author of the video filming her death was awarded the "George Polke" prize as best photoreport of the year 2010.
Support this choice of dedicating a tree in the Milan Garden of the Righteous to Neda to remember the moral resistance of the young Iranian people.
