the American ambassador who helped the Armenians

American ambassador to the Ottoman Empire, witness to the Armenian genocide, he raised funds for surviving orphans and worked for the repatriation of Armenians who continued to die of hunger and epidemics.
He made public the documents and reports on the massacre of the Armenians and wrote analyzes on genocidal methodology, also denouncing the role and responsibilities of Germany allied with the Ottoman Empire in the First World War.
