Srebrenica genocide, UN complicity and the role of the courts

It was July 1995 when the world witnessed the war in the former Yugoslavia and the Srebrenica massacre, what would later be declared a full-blown genocide. Thirty years have passed since then, yet the reworking of what happened is still ongoing and, in some respects, still drags lumps of pain. The events of those days, the responsibilities and the memory, in fact, remain an open wound for many, especially for those who feel they have never really obtained justice. This is because the responsibilities of international institutions were muffled and the convictions, in the end, were very few. We talked about this with historian Marcello Flores.
