On 7th March 2016, the Comprehensive Institute B. Lanino has inaugurated the Garden of the Righteous of Vercelli, planting three trees in honour of the Righteous of Nonantola, who gave shelter to several Jewish during the Holocaust; of Lassana Bathily, Malian muslim who saved the lives of six Jewish customers in the kosher supermarket that were taken hostage by Amedy Coulibaly during the terrorist attacks of 9th January 2015 in Paris; and of the citizens of Lampedusa, witnesses of the migration flows in the mediterranean.
