Garden of Tirana

To mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of University ZKM, the first Garden of the Righteous in Albania was inaugurated in Tirana on March 6th, 2024. The first Righteous celebrated was Carlo Urbani, whose name was engraved on stone from different quarries in the country.
The work was designed by architects Alfons Shtjefni and Claudio Radice, and built by the firm RGR.

Set in the green University-Hospital Complex of the Foundation ZKM, the Garden of the Righteous will become a focal point for students and faculty of Catholic University, patients and health workers of the eponymous Hospital, their families and all visitors.

The ceremony was attended by the president of the Foundation ZKM Ruggero Valentini; the rector of the Catholic University Prof. Leonardo Palombi; the deputy mayor of Tirana City Hall, Arch. Frida Pashako, who congratulated the Foundation for this initiative; and the Archbishop of the Metropolitan Diocese of Tirana-Durazzo, Monsignor Arjan Dodaj.
