On 6 March 2019, in San Benedetto Val di Sambro, a town in the Apennines between Bologna and Florence, a new Garden of the Righteous was born. The large trees near the Town Hall were dedicated to Hamadi ben Abdesslem, Alfonso Canova, and the Coast Guard. The inauguration, with the participation of the plexuses of San Benedetto Val di Sambro and Pian del Voglio and the collaboration of the City, was made in the presence of the mayor, the authorities, the head teacher, the carabinieri and the police.

At the same time, in San Benedetto Pian del Voglio, new fruit trees have been planted in the playground, which will be cared for by the students, dedicated to Gino Bartali, Antoine Leiris, Salah Farah. Also in this case in the presence of the authorities. During the ceremony, the cards of the Righteous were read, on which the students also worked for the Day of Remembrance.
