This Garden honours the sons and daughters of the "Little Work of Divine Providence" who with their heroic solidarity have honoured God and men following the example of St. Luigi Orione: this is what the plaque placed at the entrance of the Garden of the Righteous in Pontecurone - inaugurated on 13 March 2020, inside the "John Paul II" public gardens area - with the planting of new trees dedicated to the Righteous says.
There are seven Righteous honoured inside the Garden: Don Gianbattista Lucarini, Don Lorenzo Nicola, Don Gaetano Piccinini, Don Giuseppe Pollarolo, Don Enrico Sciaccaluga, Sister Maria Croce Manente and Sister Maria Stanislaa Bertolotti.
The Garden don't honor the Righteous for all the genocides, but local religious figures who defended the weakest and the persecuted during the Second World War.
