On 27 February 2019 the city park in Via Rieti was dedicated to the Righteous. A green area of Pioltello was dedicated to all those who had the courage to fight against injustice, who sacrificed themselves for the rights of their country and for human rights, who risked their lives only to save the lives of other human beings. The inauguration was attended by the mayor of Pioltello, Ivonne Cosciotti, the town council and the president of Gariwo, Gabriele Nissim.

The students of Iqbal Masih Institute were the protagonists of this initiative. Through their words, they conveyed the message that the memory of good can be a powerful educational instrument to prevent genocide and crimes against humanity and that the Righteous represent a positive example because they help to reflect on the values of responsibility, tolerance and active citizenship.
