On April 30, 2022, the Primary School "Madre Teresa di Calcutta" in cooperation with the municipality, inaugurated a Garden of the Righteous in Montelupone. The first Righteous honored is Gino Bartali, Righteous among the Nations.
The Mayor Rolando Pecora and the School Principal Alessandra Gattari together with Gioia Bartali, the granddaughter of Gino Bartali, attended the event.
The creation of the Garden of the Righteous is the product of the educational project supported by the teachers Celeste Vicedomini, Anna Maria Sabbatinelli and Sabrina Ruggeri.
