The Garden of Erba is located inside the park of Villa Amalia, the Carlo Porta High School's headquarters. It was inaugurated on May 8, 2021: students, teachers, parents, and local authorities attended the conference.

The first three trees were dedicated to people who, in different times and places, defended people's lives and built their relationship with the others on values of justice and truth: Gabriele Moreno Locatelli, the pacifist from Canzo killed in Sarajevo in 1993 during the Bosnian war; Father Lido Mencarini, the priest originally from Tuscany, who, during the war, saved hundreds of Jews who would die in concentration camps; Antonia Locatelli, originally from Fuipiano Valle Imagna, killed in Rwanda after saving 300 Tutsis.

Together with his daughter Jasmine, the brother-in-law of Alfonso Scabbio, the pacifist from Cantù, also attended the inauguration ceremony, enriched by a performance by boys of the musical group Carlo Porta.
