Diano San Pietro

On the occasion of the Holocaust Remembrance Day, on 3 February 2017, in the presence of the Authorities, Vera Vigevani Jarach - member of Madres de Plaza de Mayo group who also received the honorary citizenship - and the Argentine Consul Maximiliano Romanello, has been inaugurated the Garden of Human Rights in the Municipality of Diano San Pietro (IM).

Trees in the Garden has been dedicated to women who, with their struggle, have witnesses the need of truth and justice, as Madres and Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo; Maria Musso (survived to Nazi concentration camps); women from Diano San Pietro Resistance in WWII, Ixil women of Guatemala and female victims of Maifa.

The Garden of Diano San Pietro, as the name suggests, is a Garden of Human Rights and therefore hosts figures of the Righteous along with figures who fought for the defense of human rights
