The plaque of Remembrance Grove

The Remembrance Grove of Desenzano del Garda has been inaugurated on 25th of April 2013 - on the 68th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy - thanks to a collaboration with ANPI of Desenzano.

The Remembrance Grove, located inside Parco del Laghetto, hosts 25 olive trees planted in honor of the Righteous during the fascism and represents the point of arrival of an itinerary of memorial sites of Evil and Good. Milestones of this journey into the past are: the Resistance Memorial, the square dedicated to the partisan Giuseppe Malvezzi, the Hotel Mayer that hosted the SS High Command, the former headquarters of Ispettorato della razza and Villa Dalla Volta, where Guido and Alberto Dalla Volta were captured and deported to Auschwitz.
