On 25 April 2004 the municipality of Bellaria-Igea Marina dedicated two oaks of the Urban Park to Ezio Giorgetti and Osman Carugno. These two figures have been honored because of their rescue action in favour of a group of refugee coming from Yugoslavia and forced to hide during the Nazi occupation in order to escape deportation.
The little square in the park has been named for Giorgetti - appointed Righteous among the Nations in Yad Vashem - in presence of Gabriele Nissim, Chairman of Gariwo, the forest of the Righteous.
In 2011 the municipality of Bellaria also dedicated an exhibition named "Righteous among the Nations. Ezio Giorgetti and Oscar Osman Carugno. Bellaria Igea Marina 1943/44 standing by the Jews" to Giorgetti and Carugno.
