On 8 March 2016 the small municipality of Albagiara, in Sardinia, inaugurated the first Garden of the Righteous on the initiative of the public library and the recreation centre in Albagiara and in collaboration with “La Lettura Soc. Coop”.
Malala Yousafzai, winner of the Nobel Peace Price 2014, has been honored with a tree. The children of the recreation centre and the public library in Albagiara took part in the ceremony with songs and readings.
