Fayez el Ghossein tomb, in the cemetery of El Sharaeh, in Syria
23 December 2004, a group of Italian Armenians (Varthi Demirdjian, Vasken Pambakian, Annamaria Samuelli and Piero Kuciukian) representing the Union of Italian Armenians, went to Syria to honour a Righteous for the Armenians: Fayez El Ghossein, a Muslim lawyer, secretary to King Feisal Hussein and a friend of Lawrence of Arabia, he witnessed the Armenian Genocide and wrote about it in his book in 1916.
23 April 2005, while commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a stone in memory of Fayez El Ghossein was placed in Yerevan’s Memorial Wall at Dzidzernagapert (the Hill of Swallows).
