Threatened, he insists "I don't want to be complicit."

Palestinian university professor Mohammed S. Dajani Daoudi led his students on the road to Auschwitz in March as part of the conflict resolution project of "Hearts of flesh, Not of stone" of the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, which also provided a stop in the Palestinian refugee camp of Dheishe.

To visit the museum of the camp were students of Jewish, German and Palestinian descent. On the way back, Professor Dajani told journalist Matthew Kalman of the newspaper Haaretz that "the trip went well as expected. It has helped to instill in students a commitment to relieve this desolation of humanity by refusing to passively watch violence. Certain tragedies should not happen again and to ensure this we need to develop a culture of moderation, tolerance and acceptance of our diversity. "

Because of a bad translation of an Arabic newspaper, the message of the teacher was misunderstood and Dajani has received threats demanding he doesn't return to Ramallah where he works. They charge him with  "brainwashing Palestinians and trying to change the mindset through the teaching of the great lies and machinations as the Holocaust and the suffering of the Jews," which for the extremists would only justify "the theft of land " from the Palestinians by the Jews.

The professor will not give up. His message is clear:

""I will go to Ramallah, go to college, and put photos of our visit on Facebook, and I do not regret it for a second about what I did. Rather, I'll just argue back if I get the opportunity. I will not keep silent, I will not hide the facts, I will not remain passive watching even if the victims for whom I show empathy are my occupants. And this is my final judgment on the matter. "
