On 6th March 2013, simultaneously with Milan, Brussels, Prague, Warsaw, Sarajevo, St Petersburg, and other Italian cities, Tolentino has celebrated its first European Day of the Righteous.
On that occasion, the municipality has inaugurated the Garden of Tolentino, near the garden of Filelfica Library, with a memorial stone in honour of Tullio Colsalvatico, acknowledged Righteous among the Nations by Yad Vashem in 2009.
The ceremony was attended by Franco Maiolati, President of the cultural club named after Colsalvatico, Sante Maletta as a representative of Gariwo, the historian Enzo Calcaterra and descendants of the Righteous Antonio and Alessandro Santecchia. In addition, a moving live broadcast from Israel made possible listening the words of gratitude of Fiorella Calò, a woman helped by Colsalvatico who provided her fake documents and a safe haven.
