Since May 2005, Levico Terme has its own Garden of the Righteous in memory of crimes against humanity worldwide. The Garden is located inside the park of the former hospital.
The first Righteous to be commemorated was Giorgio Perlasca, the man who pretended to be a Spanish diplomat in order to rescue thousands of Jewish in Budapest.
Other trees have been planted in memory of the Armenian genocide and of the victims of gulag and foibe.
