The public prosecution against a Chinese lawyer for human rights

Pu Zhiqiang, one of the best-known human rights lawyers in China and one of the most prominent targets of the Chinese Communist Party’s vigorous campaign against dissent, was last arrested one year ago. Now, the United States State Department called for Mr. Pu’s release; Secretary of State John Kerry is due to arrive in Beijing on Saturday for talks.
