Lost birds, directed by Turkish Ela Alyamac and Turkish of Armenian descent Aren Perdeci, was the first genocide-related film to be allowed by the Turkish cinema institution. It tells the story of two little brothers who try to stay together and unveil the truth about their family exterminated in 1915.
