Harvard confronts its past slavery ties

in a public conference

The discussion has been there since 1976, as a photograph of a slave that had been used to pinpoint racist theories was shown in the university's premises. Now Harvard's principal goes further in admitting Harvard's responsibilities for the system of exploitation and dehumanization that was acted against the black populations of America, by holding a widely followed public conference.
