Playing piano for the Righteous

Within Piano City show in Milan, on 17 May Maestro Gaetano Liguori presents his concert "Piano for the Righteous", with music composed to remember the exemplary figures who risked their lives to save other people's, performing an "act of goodness".


Theatrical show il Memorioso

Was on stage on 20 January at the Milan Holocaust Memorial, upon initiative of Gariwo, the forest of the Righteous. Actor Massimiliano Speziani took on stage the tales of the Righteous people who have risked their lives to save the ones of the persecuted.


"Forbidden to die of laughter"

Hollande bans Dieudonné's macabre shows. Gariwo asked Hellen Kaufmann, President of Association Anonymes, Justes et Persecutés pendant la période nazie (AJPN) from Bordeaux, for comment about this affair which could be the end of a long dispute or a case of conflicting memories to be tackled through a cultural battle.


MIssing people portrayed on city walls

Yemeni artist Murad Sobay stenciled the faces of the disappeared dissidents on Sana'a walls, which now turned from prisons or barriers into memory places. Street art could have an impact also on this country's traditionalist society.  


The Music of Terezin

Holocaust survivor George Horner, aged 90, played the music of the ghetto with world-famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma. "He is a living contradiction to what Holocaust deniers are saying", commented the musician.
